Ataberk Ozcan was born in March 21, 1996 and began this journey in the pearl of Aegean, Izmir.
According to him, where do you come from & where are you going, what do you want to live: these are such simple questions but these days, of course, simple questions bring ever more complicated answers.
While seeking for answers to his question, he dedicated his career to people, to places, to memories from different sides of the world. He travelled Portugal for Comenius Exchange Program; he found his coeur in New York; visited Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Malta and Italy during his work in European Law Students Association (ELSA).
He briefly lived in Brussels, Belgium during his internship at European Parliament and Turkish Business and Industry Association.
In 2016, he found Jus Gentium. Now he is working in areas of Pro Bono, Institutional Visits, Civil Partnership, Digitalization, Citizenship, Immigration and Strategies on Civil Union. He is an advocate for human rights, diplomacy, civil society and multinational peaceful legislative actions. He also works in International Private Law, particularly in Inheritance, Startups in Europe (France, Estonia, Belgium, UK) and United States. He gave his first public presentation on Digitalization and Law: AI in November 2017.
Where you come from now is much less important than where you’re going. And home is not just the place where you happen to be born. It is the place where you become <<yourself>>.
